Sasan is a Dubai based Illustrator and Visual Artist with over 10 years of commercial experience in publishing, advertising and life art events. Graduating from the University of Ulster in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Sasan was awarded a BA Hons degree in Visual Communication. Since then he has been commissioned by numerous ad agencies and publishers in the UK, Germany, South Africa and the UAE.

Strong contrasts, intricate line work, cross hatching and a minimalistic colour palette describe his style best. His work shows a strong sense of composition and attention to detail while maintaining a lose and sketchy feel. His tools of choice are ink pens and brushes as well as markers and acryclic paint.

Currently based in Dubai, Sasan is available for life art events and commissioned illustrations.

GROUP EXHIBITION
Genius is a new illustration exhibition that opens on Wednesday, 1st February 2012 at the Cartoon Art Gallery in Dubai, UAE.

FAKIE II - Skateboard exhibition
Fakie is a skateboard art exhibition currently running at Tashkeel till 18th February. The first edition was in held in May and this year's edition includes 30 skateboards that were donated Skate Arabia.

Old, worn-out and broken skateboards have all been turned into a piece of art (including a couple of clothing accessories) by 30 different artists based in the United Arab Emirates.

Koi & Jasmine	Metamorphosis	Tree of Life	Cruize Nikotin

In Japanese symbolism the koi represents perserverance in adversity and strength of purpose. The strongest koi swims upstream until it reaches the final waterfall, where it vaults into the mists and becomes a water dragon.	The design shows an ink illustrations which refers to "Metamorphosis" a book written by Franz Kafka. The story begins with a traveling salesman, Gregor Samsa, waking up to find himself transformed into a monstrous insect-like creature.	This t-shirt design was a initially a tattoo design for a friend which draws reference to the biblical story of Adam and Eve who ate an apple from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, causing their expulsion from the Garden of Eden.	"Plugged in"! This T-shirt was created for the upcoming Dubai rock band "Nikotin" which played live during the Middle East Comic Con 2012. Check out their music at www.nikotinmusic.com
